Description

As Head of Content at Fnatic, you have the opportunity to build an industry-leading content machine. You’ll lead a team focused on producing out-of-the-box content that grows and enhances the Fnatic brand, generates product sales across Fnatic Gear, apparel and merchandise, and reimagines how branded content is delivered for our partners. You also lead and further grow a team that intimately understands our current and desired audience, and the best way to leverage social channels to get our content in front of them.

As the leader of the Content operation for the largest Esports team in Europe, you’ll have an unparalleled resource to create memorable storylines and leverage the already significant communities behind our players, influencers and game titles.

You’ll balance a creative mindset with a strong grasp of the numbers, ensuring that we are always ahead of the curve in how we best utilise media platforms to project all that is Fnatic to the world.


Your mission is to:

  • Establish an industry leading content function, setting a new standard for how we manage the Social and Video teams within Fnatic
  • Drive sustained growth of all of our content channels, being across optimisations and channel trends
  • Discover new opportunities for content distribution and ways to monetise them
  • Work closely with the Partnerships and core Marketing teams to execute all required deliverables for partner branded content and product marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with the Events & Community team to plan and coordinate content for events globally, leveraging the platform those events present
  • Work closely with the Brand & Creative team to ensure all Content output remains true to the Fnatic brand and our legacy, and master the storytelling of our lifestyle
  • Act as the quality gatekeeper for all things content, from ideation to execution
  • Oversee our live content and streaming activity, and maintain commercial relationships with streaming partners
  • Line manage Content leads, taking an active role in their ongoing development and grow overall capability of the Marketing function
  • Support Content talent acquisition efforts, leading on candidate assessment and providing appropriate feedback

Requirements

We’re looking for:

  • Demonstrated ability to grow a global brand through category leading content, either inhouse or within agency
  • A deep knowledge of social platforms and how they can be best utilised to speak to our target audience
  • An intrinsic understanding of quality content and relentless desire to maintain high standards
  • Hands-on experience in content creation, execution and planning
  • A commercial mindset and ability to balance Fnatic priorities with the goals of our partners
  • Good interpersonal skills, coaching and counselling skills
  • A sense of urgency coupled with excellent organisation and time management
  • Start-up business experience; this is not your normal 9-5, but a high paced environment where you’ll need to be flexible and opportunistic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English, other languages desirable
