As People Operations Manager at Fnatic, you’ll have a key role to play in driving a performance-led and open culture. You’ll ensure the Fnatic employee experience is best-in-class, and help us establish the People framework to scale and flourish. Joining a small team, you’ll not hesitate getting your hands dirty and are excited about building something from the ground up across the generalist remit.

This role allows you to make a huge impact every day on how Fnatic capitalises on its position as a leader in a sector where there is no bigger opportunity right now, Esports!

Your mission is to:

  • Create and maintain People guides and policies
  • Build and maintain the performance management framework, and support employees through probation and regular review cycles
  • Partner with line managers to build capability throughout Fnatic and proactively identify behavioural/competency gaps
  • Manage offboarding processes as required, and utilise learnings to enhance retention
  • Ensure Fnatic’s People operations are GDPR compliant and help educate the business
  • Manage ER cases as necessary; with support from Legal and external specialists if required
  • Build MI and provide regular insights to management on ways to improve employee performance and experience
  • Act as a system administrator for the Fnatic HRIS (BambooHR)
  • Support the development of talent within Fnatic and build L&D processes
  • Implement external compensation and benefit benchmarking framework and lead on regular reviews
  • Provide Finance with necessary reports to execute Payroll across Fnatic offices
  • Support internal communication processes and foster a culture of accountability, honesty and openness
  • Support the creation of content to promote life at Fnatic externally and enhance our employer brand
  • Support Talent Acquisition processes from candidate screening through to interview scheduling and candidate feedback
  • Own general People administration tasks (provision of references, contract updates, visa documentation)
  • Maintain knowledge of employment law and People best practice
  • Support People colleagues in Belgrade office as required and ensure consistency of initiatives between Fnatic locations
  • Work alongside People colleagues in London and Belgrade on engagement and wellness initiatives, and generally making Fnatic a great place to work


We’re looking for:

  • Generalist HR experience in a fast-paced, high-growth or progressive environment
  • CIPD qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, with strong academic performance
  • Familiarity with HRIS/ATS platforms, ideally BambooHR and Workable
  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and practices
  • A natural people person; able to deal with issues with sensitivity and tact
  • Commercial mindset and ability to consider People issues within the broader context of the business
  • A meticulous eye for detail and obsession with clean data
  • Ability to translate metrics into actionable business insights
  • A service mentality and approachable demeanour
  • Clear, succinct and influential written and verbal communication skills
  • Someone proactive, reliable and able to deliver to tight deadlines
